Budget graph & Transactions

The budget graph at the top of money dance displays no data. I have a budget set up but I can't figure out why it just shows $0.00 (no data).
Is there some setting I did incorrectly when setting up my budget? Also I have a couple other questions regarding transactions. If I pay my credit card bill via my checking account, and enter that transaction in my checking account, why doesn't Moneydance add/deduct that transaction amount from my credit card account as well? And why oh why doesn't Moneydance have a dedicated transfer funds function? I dislike the way Moneydance handles transfers, there should be a simple "Transfer from account / Transfer to account" function. Any help regarding these questions / comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    just a user,

Click the budget button to the left of the bar graph and make sure you have selected your active budget file. Then once you have that set you can control what period to graph. I.E. This month, this year, last 30 days, last 365 days
