How to Switch an Account from Investments to Banking in Moneydance
I would like to switch a Vanguard money market account I currently have listed under Investments on the Summary Page to be listed under Banking, with all previous transactions intact. Is there an easy way to do this?
Thanks for any assistance.

I'm a fellow user.
If the account has securities or buy, sell, div etc type transactions then it is not possible.
If you can switch to the bank register and can see every transaction, which indicates it only has banking type transactions, I'm not sure if the Toolbox extension will be able to force change the account type, I've never tried it, and it would be a rare setup.

Thanks for the info. I may try the Toolbox extension after appropriate study and backups. I do have my checking account under Banks, of course, and that fund has similar transactions as the fund I wish to move, namely deposits, withdrawals and monthly dividend investments.
If the move seems too daunting, I will leave things as they are as the present arrangement works -- it is just not ideal.

As dwg says. Toolbox can force change an account’s type to bank.
BUT
- it must not contain any non bank txn types. Eg Buy, Div etc - it must not have securities added. Check the securities tab and remove any/all securities first.
Backup first.

If you have transactions with a Div Action type then you have securities in the account and you could not change the account type.
