I have used Moneydance on my Mac desktop machine for several years. I just bought a Mac laptop, and would like to have Moneydance available on it as well, sharing exactly the same data. Can I do this?

    I'm a fellow Moneydance user.

You can do this by using Moneydance syncing see the Knowledge Base article:

Thank you for the link. I had already located it when you replied. However, after entering the encryption password and pressing Finish the message: Performing initial sync — this may take a while. It has now been 45 minutes and nothing seems to be happening. Any idea how long this normally takes?

There are a lot of variables involved so there is no "single answer". The factors include.

    - Type of syncing selected
    - Speed of the network link
    - Network congestion
    - Server load
    - Amount of data to be copied, including size and number of attachments.
