My last paid upgrade was in 2021 on my old computer. I was able to install version 2023 on my new computer without charge, but it did not registered. Now Moneydance wants me to upgrade, for a $25 fee, to version 2024; they will not let me continue with the 2023 update beyond 100 data entries. So I paid the $25 plus tax. I do not know what to do next. Please advise.

You should receive in email, a receipt for purchase, and a new license code. Enter the new license code into Moneydance, under Help/Register Moneydance

That should give you a valid license code for 2024 (and free upgrade to 2025).

So if you still have 2023 installed, install 2024 instead so it will recognize the new license.

All I had to do to make the 2023 version
start working again was register it. I did
this and Moneydance stopped blocking my use of the 2023 version. The only
reason I would go to2024 would be that the 2024 version is, in fact, better
than the 2023 version. Do you, based on your experience, know enough about
both the 2023 and 2024 versions to make a claim that 2024 is better than
    2023?
