How to control - or eliminate - default category under Currency Type

Heilo,
In setting up Credit Card accounts on my new MoneyDance system there is no default category that makes any sense. Do I really need that feature? How can I change the default.

Just click the default category and change it.
I use a ‘**unassigned**’ category default.

The default category "defaults" to the earliest alphabetical category. As Stuart says, you can change it in your above window, but I set my earliest category to "Anything" which usually works for me as a default [I almost always change the category when it goes to Anything, so I occasionally look at the Anything category to insure it is empty]

Moneydance is based on double entry bookkeeping, which means that every transaction must have an associated category or second account which the funds are moving to or coming from. It's not possible to create transactions that lack these, so there needs to be a default. The previous two suggestions can be used as methods to create a more general default category.

Just noticed the account name. Sorry if I am wrong but should that not be a payee under the account, the name of which should be the name of the credit card?
Maybe a different way of doing things?
It might save problems later if I am right?
