Backup and restore

I can see when I access Help options for Show Backup Folder and Show Documents Folder.which take you gto the file locations on my laptop. I want to keep a further backup on an external hard drive in case of issues with my pc. I am unclear which data files I would need to restore in the event of an issue.The backup folder contains several archive files saved at different times. The documents folder has sub folders for Safe and tmp, and a file named key. Please advise.

    The file you need has a .moneydancearchive extension. You need the latest.
