Hi, What is the best way to set up a "backup" folder which Moneydance saves to on closing and loads from when opening?
Thanks Dave

I'm at a bit of a loss with your post.

Your topic of "Text Colour / Intensity / Contrast " has nothing to do with backup or the opening of Moneydance.

You would not load Moneydance from a backup you created in the previous session, that would be a bad practice and taking this sort of approach has tended to get people into trouble in the past.

What are you trying to achieve?

I just want to know how to set up a folder which Moneydance will use to
save changes to on closing and where it will load from when next opened??

By default Moneydance creates a backup when you close the account set or exit the software. By default this is in a backup folder within the Moneydance folder, but you can define your location in Moneydance preferences - Moneydance menu option File -> preferences on the backup tab.

The account set i.e. the data files are stored, by default in Moneydance's Documents folder.

The default file locations are documented in the Knowledge Base article:
