When I manually add a charge to an existing payee, in an account such as a credit card account, the payment amount is automatically completed using an earlier entry for that payee.

Is it possible to stop that happening and leave the payment amount to be filled in manually?

    Hi Peter,
Thank you for contacting Moneydance support.

I believe this is the way Autocomplete works. The way to work around it is to fill in the description last, this works around the algorithm the feature uses.

I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions or need more assistance.

    Hi Maddy

Thanks for your very prompt response and information on how autocomplete works.

I had hoped there was a way to turn it off but, no problem, I'll just carry on with it autocompleting.

    Thanks again

    Peter

In addition to my previous post, there's an existing ticket in our ticketing system with your suggestion, so I've attached it to this discussion and the developers will be looking into it.

Please let us know if we can be of further assistance!
