How do I make the font in the register larger and darker?

Hi PL,
In Preferences on the 'Appearance' tab, you can change the font, the font size and using a Custom theme, you can make the font darker.
Try one of the preset themes to see if they help.

The font settings are in preferences.
Moneydance menu option File => Preferences on the Appearance tab.
Try High contrast or classic themes for darker text.
Restart Moneydance to have any change effected everywhere.

Hi,
Thank you for contacting Moneydance support.
You can navigate to File->Preferences->Appearance as outlied here, then at the bottom of the window you can adjust your Font Type/Size and by clicking on the the drop-down menu, select +1,+2 etc, as required. Click 'OK' and restart Moneydance to implement the changes.

From what I see, the +1, +2 etc apply only to the side bar and not to the register itself. How can I make the font in the register larger?

Did you try stopping Moneydance and then restarting it? Some changes need a restart to be applied.

The size is global but as @dtd said a Moneydance restart can be necessary to see the change reflected everywhere.

Restarting worked! I'm glad to see that the font choice is global.
