Font sizes in register vs. sidebar

Is there any way to set different font sizes for register entries vs. the sidebar (and other UI elements)? I (finally) updated to 2024.4 from 2017, and my sidebar font looks a size or two larger than the font for register entries. Is there any way to control the size of these fonts separately? It looks weird to me having the "navigation" pane have a larger font than the "content" pane. I thought there was a register-specific setting, but darned if I can find it now.

1- the above question is mine also, re: size of font in the register

2- how to increase the spacing between transactions in the register. It is too confusing to my eye as it is

    Hi Jim,
Thank you for contacting Moneydance support.

You can navigate to File->Preferences->Appearance as outlied here,
where you can customize Moneydance in a suitable manner.

At the bottom of the window you can adjust your Font Type/Size and by clicking on the the drop-down menu, select +1,+2 etc, as required.

Finally, you should click 'OK' and restart Moneydance to implement the changes throughout the program.

I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions or need more assistance.

Thanks. I'm aware of the font size setting in Settings > Appearance. But that changes all the font sizes, both UI and register—which means that setting the font size large enough for me to read the register makes the sidebar and other UI elements huge.

What I'm hoping for is a way to change the only the register font size.

You may wish to enable Two Line Mode as outlined in this article of the Knowledge Base.

Although it is not currently possible to change the font size in a specific area of the register or the side bar, I've filed a ticket in our ticketing system with your suggestion, so the developers will be looking into it.

Please let us know if we can be of further assistance!

The way sizing currently works is that there is a base size that you can set, Internally the element sizes are then determined as being this size plus a set increment.
