Graph of specific expenses over time

I would like to generate custom graphs that plot the sum of a subset of select categories over time. For instance, how much am I spending on groceries and restaurants each month this year? Or, what is the trend of my overall "discretionary expenses" (as I define them)? Is that possible with MD or an extension? If not, is this a possible future enhancement?

   Thanks for your response, but the expense graph does not appear to give
   you a choice of categories. It does allow you to limit the response to
   specific accounts, but not categories.

   The expense graph will allow you to set specific categories. Reset the graph, uncheck "Show Top", Then select the individual categories as needed.
