Importing data with categories: Will categories/accounts with an exact name match translate to the correct category/account?

Greetings!

Given the following:

  • I have existing accounts/categories defined within Moneydance:

    • Household: Groceries (An expense category)
    • Medical: Prescriptions (An expense category)
    • Social Security (An income category)
    • Svet Visa (A bank account tied to a debit card)
  • I have data that I want to import into Moneydance as a CVS file. One of the fields is "Category".

    • Assume that I have transactions for various existing categories/banks in Moneydance, (as noted above).
    • Also assume that these categories are spelled identically to the existing categories in Moneydance, (including punctuation).

Question:
Will these categories within the imported CVS data automagically be classified as the matching categories/bank accounts?
(i.e. Will CSV records with a category column that matches an existing category or bank be automatically assigned to the correct category or bank on import?)

Note that I could try this by experiment, but I have another large file to sanitize prior to import and I'd like to get it right prior to import if at all possible as it's easier to do a global regex "find and replace" in Notepad++ than a transaction-by-transaction fixup in Moneydance.

Thanks!
