HELLO-
I have been using MoneyDance for 6 years (still using the initial purchased software) and am ready to upgrade to the newest version. I also just changed to a new computer running MacOS 15.5 (Sequoia). When I tried to open my existing MoneyDance version, I get a message that I need to install Rosetta Stone.
My question: If I do not install Rosetta Stone and I purchase the newest MoneyDance version, will the new version be able to open/(?transfer) my accumulated Moneydance data file. If yes, is there anything special I must know before I purchase the 2024 version?

What is the version you are currently using..

The latest MD does NOT need Rosetta - it has native code.. Why not use it in trial mode (free)..

If my notes are correct Moneydance 2023.3 was the first version to have native support for Apple Silicon. For any version before that you would need to have Rosetta installed on Apple Silicon as older releases were Intel only binaries.

    Hello,

The above information is correct. Since you purchased a previous version of Moneydance you are entitled to a discounted half-priced upgrade, and if you want to run Moneydance 2024 you will need to purchase an upgrade key. To confirm your license for a discounted upgrade, submit your license key using the Upgrading field on our purchase page at: http://infinitekind.com/purchase
