So based on what i'm reading there is no way to access a payee list, how does money dance manage payees when they are downloaded directly from the bank? Often times payees have numbers or codes at the end and Quicken allows you to merge or create alias so they know that multiple payee names with different codes are really all the same payee, does MD not do this?

    Hi Eric,

Please accept my apologies for our delayed response, somehow your enquiry slipped through the cracks!

The list of Payees that comes up in the Description area of transactions can't be edited as it's automatically generated from past Payees/Descriptions that you've entered for your transactions.

There is an address book that can be edited by going to Tools -> Address Book in Moneydance. You can enter a Payees name, address, phone number and email. Payees entered into the Address Book can then be selected by clicking the Description field in a transaction and going down to the entries with a green @ symbol in front of them and selecting the payee in your address book there.

Once you have added the payee details from the address book, into the transaction description field, you can go to Tools --> Graphs and Reports, and run a 'Transaction Filter' report, filtering by 'Description'.

I hope this information is helpful, please let me know if I can be of further assistance.
