Is there a set up facility for Standing Order and Direct Debit payments.
This discussion is public.
I do not wish to set up this with a bank, but merely as my reflection of the payments that will appear on my actual bank statement.

Hi,
If you do not wish to connect directly with your bank, you can download your transaction files. The best way to get your files into Moneydance is to use a web browser to download them from your bank's web site. You can download into QFX, OFX or OFC files (aka Quicken or MS Money files), any of which will import cleanly into Moneydance.
Once imported you will be able to view your bank transactions, including standing order and direct debit payments, as they appear within your bank account.
Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Thanks Jenny, But that was not what I wished to do. I keep copies of my Bank accounts into which I enter all the transactions that will pass thru my actual bank account statements against which I can then cross check against the hard copy statements the bank send me. I wanted to know if I can set up in Moneydance payments that will go thru those accounts on specified dates as regular payments without having to enter them individually? FYI. I am in the UK it is not possible to connect Moneydance to UK banks even if one wished to. I suspect my enquiry is not possible in Moneydance.

Hi,
The information above is correct, and I would also recommend reading that chapter of the User Guide.
You can use the Moneydance “Reminder” function to schedule reminder notes or transactions in advance. This is within Tools --> Reminders.
Transaction Reminders are transactions that appear on the calendar and Home Page according to a set schedule and can be recorded into your register directly. These transactions can be entered automatically or manually.
When creating a Transaction Reminder, select “Auto-Commit” to allow Moneydance to automatically apply the reminder to your register a set number of days before the transaction is scheduled. Auto-commit will apply a transaction to your register, but does not initiate a bill payment. Auto-Commit is most useful for payments that are automatically initiated by your bank, or for transferring money between internal sub-accounts used for tracking savings. Selecting “0” in the “Days Before Scheduled” field will apply the transaction to your account on the day it is scheduled.
I hope this information is helpful, please let me know if I can be of further assistance.
