Current price is current price.
The other is the price as of the report’s as of date. Depends if your as of date has been changed to not today

Hi,
Thank you for contacting Moneydance support.
The Price column reflects the security’s value on the report’s date, while Current Price reflects the latest available value in your history. This distinction helps you analyze both historical and up-to-date portfolio performance.
I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions or need more assistance.

Maddy, thank you for the clarification. However, I am still struggling to
understand the report. I am running it with the report date exactly equal
to today's date. In this case, both prices should be equal, correct? And
even so the report is showing a difference between price and current price.
More than that, I cannot understand where the current price is coming from,
as it has no connection to the security price history. Please see below a
screenshot to illustrate what I mean.
Regards,
Glaucio

price is balance / shares and you can see that mathematically it's exactly right/the result of that formula. This is therefore as of 31/10/2025
current price is the current price, as of now, as per the tools/securities/edit/current price field - i.e. as of 9/12/2025. Please send a screenshot of this screen?

My bet is that you have a "current price" set that is not equal to the dated price that you think?

But I cannot understand how this balance value is calculated. The price, according to the Security History screen should be 20.23791 and not 22.4921. Please see the attached screenshots.
