Beginning and ending balances
In January I experienced a wrong beginning balance. How do I adjust it? I thought that I could change it but cannot figure it out.

You cannot change the beginning balance, it is also not recorded anywhere in the software.
When you start a reconciliation it is calculated from the data in the account, the formula is:
Initial Balance of the Account (+/-) Balance Adjustment + Cleared Deposits - Cleared Payments.
If it does not equal the last statement's closing balance it means that something has been changed in the past transactions.
