Hello,

Do you have any public documentation about the database format?
I would like to read and process the records in my own scripts.

Unfortunately, I didn't find it here.

Thank you.

    Hi Kevin,

Thanks, but the documentation there about the MD API, as far as I can see.
I would like to access the DB on a server without MD, i.e. the API will not be available there.

    Thanks.

    Hi Denis,

Thanks for your message, but we use our own secure incremental storage mechanism and the only way we can provide access is through the Moneydance API. However, you can write an extension, load it into Moneydance and then load Moneydance, invoking that extension with a command-line parameter if you like. That would load the necessary support for loading and decrypting the data file (prompting the user for a passphrase if necessary) before calling your code.

    Thanks,
