Downloading Category Transaction
The "Download" button on a category transaction listing is greyed out, how can i download the transactions to say .csv file

You can use Command ⌘ instead of Control ^ on Mac

That is the bank download button. Use a report or extension extract-data.

That download button is for automatic downloads.
For manual imports used the menu option File => Import after you have downloaded the file.

Stuart and I have interpreted your question differently.
I am assuming you are trying to import data Stuart is assuming you are trying to export data.
