False Duplicates
I'm having a problem starting a new account. I'm importing a QIF
file of my checking account from an on-line bank. Moneydance
consistently deletes transactions that have an identical value,
after the first one. Example (1): My bank posted two different
checks for $60.00 on the same day, but Moneydance consistently
deletes (fails to record) the second transaction. Maybe it thinks
it's a duplicate. Example (2): I have recurring deposits of the
same amount (a round number), but Moneydance consistently deletes
(fails to record) all subsequent transactions after the first one
with that dollar value. Very maddening. What's going on, and how do
I get the program to stop doing that?
Thank you.

I am sorry I have taken so long to reply, Things have been rather busy lately and I have been struggling to keep up with the forum.
When you are important the transactions Moneydance will try to match incoming transactions with those you have already entered in the register. In the record window at the bottom of the register Moneydance will present a list of the transactions it thinks are a possible match in a drop down list. If Moneydance has incorrectly identified a match you must select New transaction (No Match) before hitting the record button.
It is possible that I misunderstand the problem you are experiencing. If the above is not what is occuring let me know and I'll investigate further.
Sincerely
Ben Spencer
