Two line display: It's not clear which pair of lines is a single transaction

Hi - I'm just in the process of moving to Moneydance from MS Money. I'd been using MS Money for over ten years so there were bound to be a few teething issues, but actually it's going well so far.

One thing I'm struggling to get used to is the transaction list. I use the default two line display. I can't tell which pair of lines make up a single transaction. Ie. which is the first line and which is the second line. I've tried messing about with the colours in the preferences and this hasn't helped much. I think the problem is that I could do with a thin black line between each transaction.

I've attached a screenshot of Money where this layout is much clearer.

Should I raise a feature request?

+1 for this. I must admit its not something I'd thought about, but having seen the suggestion, I realise it is one of those little niggles I have just lived with

Thinking about it, it might be easier to achieve by using alternate colours for alternating transactions. So each transaction would be a single colour, rather than two.

I did see a setting for alternating colours in the preferences but I couldn't get it to make any difference to the display.

    Hi Ben,

Thanks for the suggestion for improving Moneydance! I've filed a ticket with our ticketing system to implement this functionality, so the developers will be looking into it.

Please let us know if we can be of further assistance!
