Wondering if you can give us an update on the development of Moneydance 2010 when the release date will be, new features, if a beta is available?

Hi I am new to this.
What I need is an application that can support multiple global currencies (including the Serbian dinar) and also online banking imports from the UK. It would also help to have UK tax support. Are there any plans that MD will include these areas, as they do not know, I think.
Thanks!
Mary

Hi Mary
Moneydance supports multiple global currencies and while the Serbian dinar is not included in the default installation you can easily add it in your self by selecting Tools->"Currencies/Exchange Rates" and clicking on the new button. The currency ID for the Serbian dinar is RSD.
If your UK bank allows for downloading OFX or QIF files from their website then you can import them into Moneydance, however I do not believe any UK banks have implemented OFX servers for direct connection to personal finance applications.
Moneydance has no specific feature for handling UK tax other than enabling VAT tracking in a separate account. You can enable this by selecting File->Preferences and checking the "Use VAT/GST" option on the general tab. You can then set the VAT settings on the tools menu.
Sincerely
Ben Spencer

Hi, Sorry if this is in the wrong place, but i find it difficult to navigate the various areas. I have tried the 2010 beta and like the interface, but I'm very disappointed with the reports. I was hoping for much more flexibility. Choosing an account for any report, selecting categories for any report especially.
Hope this is in the plans
regards john

John,
As we said in the blog post, we are still adding additional features to Moneydance 2010. We know that improved reporting is an important new feature for our users.
Please let me know if I can be of further assistance, and thank you for your interest in Moneydance.
