If I go to tools and "edit securities" and then try to delete a particular security - I get the above message and cannot delete the security. How do I do that?

    Hello Clare

I believe you have noticed a typo on the error message. It clearly should have read "Cannot remove security that is being used" I will pass this bug on to the developer.

As for the meaning of the message and how to resolve this. You are not able to remove securities that are associated with and being used by portfolios from this window. In order to remove such a security:

From your home page, click on the investment that is using the security you want to delete. Click the "Securities Detail" button. The right most of the three green buttons. Click "Remove Security" Select the offending security from the drop down list of securities. Click "OK" You will be prompted to ensure that you want the software to perform this operation as all assiocated transaction with this security will be deleted. Type "yes" in the box and click "OK"

Let me know if you have any further questions.

    Sincerely Ben Spencer
