<p>thanks for your help. I went through the link and it looks like that the MS Money Json export is not the same like the Moneydance Json export. The structure of the latter is definitely a different one.</p>

<p>The suggestion was that it's best if you use the python API as it is a lot easier than parsing and reconstructing the data from the JSON export.</p>
