Trying to set up a dark mode using a theme. Apart from the fact there is STILL no help on what all the various descriptors actually refer to I am finally getting somewhere. However, I can set the main register text colour to white, but when I go to reconcile an account the entry text in the reconcile window is black on very dark grey / blue / green? and is virtually unreadable. Can anyone point me in the right direction, I have searched and googled with no joy!

Getting a usable Dark Mode is something that we are grappling with on the MD2019 beta, some of the elements are still being a problem.

I don't think register text and reconcile text are linked, so changing register text colour does not change reconcile text colour.
    Anyone have any ideas?

    Hi tonyt,

Which theme are you currently using as the base theme?
Which elements of the reconcile window would you like to change?

    Hi Henry
I am using solarised dark theme to start from. When I go to the reconcile window in a modified dark theme it looks like the attached and I can’t seem to make the entry text white as per the normal register text. I got the register text to change to white by altering register text foreground.
Hope this helps and that you can help me!

You are right it is not possible to change the text foreground in the Reconcile window, I was wondering if it might be possible in different versions to advise you on that.

I have opened a ticket regarding this, because the text is barely visible in Dark mode/Solarized Dark theme.

Thank you for letting us know and I apologize for the difficulties caused.

    Hi Henry
Thanks for investigating! Hopefully a quick fix will happen as there
is not a lot of point in having themes if you can't see what you are

I'm having Dark Themes problems also. Is there a way to reset to the default Dark theme? I've tried various changes in colors and I think I've made it worse.

    I'm a fellow user.

If I recall correctly if you rename the file it removes all theme customisation. It should be in your .moneydance folder

Boy oh boy did I fall into a mess. I thought 2019 version was a free upgrade only to find out after the install another payment is required. So uninstall 2019 and go back to 2017. At some point last year I did install a free upgrade which was fine. MD you really need to tell us the upgrade you are promoting does have a cost attached. I don't appreciate wasting time installing a version only to discover afterwards it's a free trial version and my licence doesnt allow the upgrade without an additional cost.

MD2019 is a free upgrade to anyone who purchased MD2017, for those who purchased an older version the upgrade comes at a 50% discount. This policy has been in place for quite some time.

    The upgrade policy is documented:
