How does one record credit card transactions with Money Dance?

   Sorry, but none of this answers question as to why I have account balance
   showing, even though the account has been deleted. I am much in need of
   your assistance, to correct same.

   Stevan, sometimes it's difficult to understand what the poster is asking when they post on this public forum. I'm just another MD customer, like you. When you asked how to record a Credit Card transaction, I don't know any of the following:

   1. Do you already have accounts set up
      
   2. Do you know how to enter transactions into registers
      
   3. Your experience with Moneydance, etc.

   Now you mentioned that an account has been deleted and there is an account balance.

   Now I don't know which account was deleted and which account has a balance

   The more information that you can provide, the better able IK Support, or fellow users will be able to assist you.

   I realize that you are just seeking support, but I wanted to offer that information as an overview of the process

   Thanks for your email. Didn't realize you were another customer. I set up 2
   credit card new accounts, as a long time Moneydance customer, I deleted one
   account that, began with large balance, from left-hand column. The balance
   remains, effecting my net worth, in the contiguous column. Hope I provided
   the right info.

   i'm a fellow user.

   Deleting an account from the side bar just deletes it from the sidebar, nothing more. The account still exists.

   The only way to eliminates an account from the net worth calculation when it has a balance is to mark the account as inactive.

   Take the Menu path Tools --> Accounts

   Select the account you wish to modify and select the edit button, in the resultant screen check on inactive.

   account in question.

   wish to load money dance on my new laptop, please advise how I can have
   money dance installed on my new laptop and do I have to pay for the

    If you want to move your data t a new computer i.e., replacing the existing one then instructions are in:

    If you want Moneydance on both machines and want to share the data then look to:
