Hi Tony

When you set up a credit card you usually enter a “Initial Debt” not a "Opening Balance" that for bank type accounts. The “Initial Debt” is zero if a new card or if an existing card when you start using Moneydance a positive value. Make sure “Inactive” box is not ticked

Hope this helps

derekkent23tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/471379732019-04-02T12:53:17Z2019-04-02T13:08:29Zpaying off credit card

Hi tony,

Just another thing to check...When you try to enter the payment from your current account to the credit card account, try scrolling up on the category list. It's been a long time, but I seem to remember having to do that when I first set up my credit card (it might have been due to the older version that I was using, or the default category that was set for the account, I'm not sure). The Accounts are all listed at the top of the Category pick list.

I had left the inactive box ticked. Thanks very much.
Having been aQuicken user since 1998 on my Mac using Windows via Parallels I have now bitten the bullet and am trying the Moneydance trial
Hopefully I can make a clean transition
