I thought checking the 'auto-comit' box and putting, say 30 in the 'days before' box on the transaction reminder set-up page would add furture transactions to the bottom of the list of transactions in an account. Doesn't seem to work. Any suggestions.

    Hi Donald

The function of "auto-comit" is to apply a transaction to the register n number of days before the date of the reminder. I just ran a test to prove to my self that this is functioning as I believe it does. I created a transaction reminder called "test" set it to occur monthly on the 22nd (tomorrow). Then clicked "auto-comit" and set the number of days to 4. Clicked done. I then checked in the account register and there was a new transaction highligted in yellow with tomorrows date.

What happens when you try the above procedure?

Can you give me a more detailed description of what you are doing. I might better be able to assist you if I can reproduce your problem.

    Sincerely Ben Spencer

Hi - Many thanks for you help (so prompt). It's now clear to me - I was mixing up dates and number of days ahead. I'm very pleased with Moneydance and the support system so far. Thank you.
