I have used Moneydance for many years current version 2015.6 for my personal finances in UK and it is great and use full range of accounts , budgets, investments and reports
I have just become treasurer of a club and would like to use Moneydance for bank accounts , budgets and anlysis of income and expenses - theer are no investments.
Can I use existing software to create an additional set of accounts for the club and still keep these completely separate from my own finances.
If so would apprecaite some notes on how to do this

I am not support staff, just a user.

To start another data set simply click FILE (MONEYDANCE on Mac) – NEW and follow the on-screen instructions.
To move between data sets, click FILE (MONEYDANCE on Mac) – OPEN to select an existing data set.

You can set up as many data sets as you like.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for this - very helpful - although I did discover this after posting

perhaps you can advise on following also - in additional data set can you
set up different income and expense categories set up specifically for
additional user or do you have to add categories to the programs default
categories. I say this as the categories for small club are completely
    diferent than personal finance

    I'm a fellow user.

The income and expense categories are not central to the program. When you create a new data set it uses a default set of categories, you can change/add/delete these as you wish but those changes only apply to the categories in that specific data set. So yes each data set can have a completely different set of categories.
