To start another data set simply click FILE (MONEYDANCE on Mac) – NEW and follow the on-screen instructions.
To move between data sets, click FILE (MONEYDANCE on Mac) – OPEN to select an existing data set.

You can set up as many data sets as you like.

Hope this helps.

derekkent23tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/474820022019-07-30T08:59:09Z2019-07-30T08:59:09ZMoneydance - existing software for additional user

Thanks for this - very helpful - although I did discover this after posting

perhaps you can advise on following also - in additional data set can you
set up different income and expense categories set up specifically for additional user or do you have to add categories to the programs default
categories. I say this as the categories for small club are completely
diferent than personal finance

Regards

roger greenwaytag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/474820022019-07-30T09:10:29Z2019-07-30T09:10:29ZMoneydance - existing software for additional user

I'm a fellow user.

The income and expense categories are not central to the program. When you create a new data set it uses a default set of categories, you can change/add/delete these as you wish but those changes only apply to the categories in that specific data set. So yes each data set can have a completely different set of categories.

dwgtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/474820022019-07-30T09:15:18Z2019-07-30T09:15:18ZMoneydance - existing software for additional user

many thanks - exactly what I hoped

roger greenway
