Reporting by UK Fiscal Year
I live in the UK where our tax year ends on 5th April.
Is it possible to produce reports which report by UK Fiscal rather than Calendar Year.
I am currently trying to produce an income and expense report in this format but only seem to be able to do it by calendar year. I do understand that I can produce a single year by simply setting the dates but want to do a multi year report.
My preferences are set to Fiscal Year Start 6th April and on the report I have selected "use Tax Date".
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Charles
Thanks
Charles

Hi Charles,
I believe you set the date as follows:
File-->Preferences-->General-->(the second last option allows you to set which month should your Fiscal Year Start).
I'd recommend using the 'Income and Expense, Detailed' report.
Reports are accessible via Tools --> Graphs and Reports, or in the left side bar (below your accounts).
When viewing the report settings, you can choose the accounts to include and you can specify the date range. The date range can be set as longer than just 12 months.
From Income and Expenses, Detailed, click on Edit and select custom dates and flag the items you wish to include in your report, and click Generate (at the bottom, right).
Once your report is generated, you can select Memorize and click OK.
Repeat the process for the following year. Your memorized reports will be "saved" within Moneydance and they will be available under Memorized Reports
Also, at the bottom of the report settings window, you'll likely see 'All Income' and 'All Expense'. Choose the button to the right of this - "Show: By Individual'. This will display each of your individual categories and you can choose which to include/exclude before generating the report to view your data.
I hope this information is helpful. Please let me know if you have further questions or need any assistance.

Many thanks. My setting are as you surmised. What I want is a single report with the Fiscal Years across the columns - it is this that I can't seem to do. The Income and Expenditure Report (Not the detailed one) shows the calendar years by column but if you select the "Use Tax Date" option you get exactly the same results, so the report seems to be ignoring the Fiscal Tax Date set in Preferences. I guess this is not an issue in the US with a December 31 Fiscal date, but it certainly is here! Is it a bug in the reporting module?
Thanks in advance.

I'm a fellow user.
Within the I & E reports Moneydance has options for this fiscal year and last fiscal year, and of course you can do custom dates so it can produce a report of a single fiscal year at a time, what it cannot do is produce a report that contains multiple fiscal years on it.
