I want to start using moneydance again, after a couple of years of not using it. My accounts set-up are basically the same but I would like to start with a blank sheet.
How can I clone my older file without the dollar numbers in there ?

Thank you,
Thank you for contacting Moneydance support.

I believe you want to create a new data set within Moneydance.

To achieve this you need to select File-->New--> Create a new file-->Next, you will be taken to a screen in which you can name the new data set.
Then you need to select 'Next', this should then take you to a new window where you can select the 'Primary Currency' and the 'File Type'. Selecting 'Finish' will create the data set.

Hopefully this information is helpful. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

There is no one button way to do what you are asking.

In short you would need to make a copy of the Moneydance data set using tools that the Operation System Provides e.g. Explorer, to another name - this is the name that you will see in Moneydance. You then have to open this new data set in the software go to each account and select and delete all transactions.

dwg
