<p>I apologize for the long delay in our response, I am embarrassed
to say that we have been snowed under with questions about
Moneydance 2010. Moneydance does not currently support investment
accounts with linked checking accounts. We are working on adding
this function to future builds of Moneydance 2010, and hope to have
this feature ready for release by the second quarter of 2010.</p>
<p>Please let me know how I can be of further assistance,</p>

<p>That is really a problem for me since I do most of my checking
with my<br>
AAA money market account checking at Morgan Stanley... not an
easy<br>
switch for me... what a mess... since I moved to mac from
windows,<br>
every choice of financial software for mac is lacking some
major<br>
windows quicken feature that I really use.</p>
<p>Money Dance is so far the "most" useable one, but not accessing
my<br>
main checking is killing me. On the plus side (though I haven't
made<br>
it work because of the account issue) the ability to write
online<br>
checks from within MD definitely has it at the head of the
pack.</p>
<p>Last month a bought a license for MD and iBank... both are
pretty good<br>
at what they do, with the OFX check writing making MD the clear
winner<br>
and the new quicken the clear LOSER. I gave the iBank to my wife
who<br>
just moved to mac at christmas and she is able to do everything
that<br>
she did with quicken on the iBank system (she does all of her
echecks<br>
through BofA online and I keep all the investment accounts on
my<br>
imac), so if I can just get the checking working, I'll be moving
all<br>
of my stuff to MD.</p>
<p>Thanks,</p>

regarding this general issue and if you do a search you may find
some. Here's one that may offer a work-around that may be something
for you to consider. <a href=

I wanted to check-in did you find stuff on the thread that jbnyt
suggested as helpful? However, If your still having this issue I am
going to bring it to either our connection specialist or our lead
developer.<br>

<p>Thanks for following up on it. It sounds like it would work for
recording checks, but I use my financial software (now quicken on
vmware) almost daily and I do a one step update and backup when
each time I use it... manually sorting transactions is not what I
want.</p>
<p>Also, and very very important, is the ability to WRITE the
checks from within MD and sending the OFX data to the bank, which
isn't mentioned in the ML user's solution.</p>
<p>I appreciate workarounds and may eventually settle for one, but
I generally prefer to wait until there is a release version that
does what I need. I will never buy a new version of quicken again,
so when they stop supporting this one, I'll move to either MD or
iBank permanently and figure out a way to move my checking to BofA
and stop using the MS moneymarket account... but that isn't really
what works best for me, so I'm betting you guys will solve it all
before intuit stops supporting my version of quicken for windows
(2008).</p>
<p>Actually, the new quicken for mac has a feature that is greatly
criticized that is interesting and would be attractive to me...
snapshots of investment accounts rather than tracking. I have
always used quicken as a snapshot source not a tracking tool... it
is terrible at tracking and it's a lot of work and you already get
that from the broker (which is the real source for the IRS), so
tracking would be a great choice of ways to look at investment
accounts.</p>
<p>Not asking for much, am I? all that and online check writing and
money market check posting .</p>
<p>Keep up the good work. It is obvious to me that a company with
such good customer tracking that you follow up on forum queries
this well, will be the long term (maybe short term?) winner...</p>
<p>thanks</p>

Thanks for such a thoughtful and nice reply. Hopefully we will be
able to sort this issue out soon so that we can get lots more new
users like you! Thanks for giving Moneydance a try.<br>
