In the help file I didn't find anything about the network settings. There doesn't appear to be an FAQ either. Here is my situation. I'm using my laptop at home so I assume that means I don't need a proxy setup. You tell me. I use Linux. Firefox is my browser. For browser do you want the name Firefox or do you want the Firefox startup file.? I have downloaded the stock sync extension. I also note that some of the investments I imported have a bogey value of $1.00/sh. Don't know what that's about or whether it will correct when I finally get connected. An FAQ would be helpful. RT

    Hello Roy

It is not necessary to change any network settings or connect to a proxy in order for Moneydance to function correctly. If you are able to browse the web from the machine you are on then your network is configured correctly.

The "Yahoo Stock Quotes" extension (which called Stock Quote Synchronizer on the extensions menu) is the extension that does the actual downloading of the stock prices from the yahoo service. While you can invoke this download manually by clicking Extensions->"Stock Quote Synchronizer" it is recommended that you also install the "Stock/FOREX Quote Auto Synchronizer" extension. This extension automatically invokes the previous extension at regular intervals.

We have recently taken of additional support staff and one of our top priorities if to produce a more complete set of documentation.

Please let me know if this does not solve your problem and I shall investigate further.

    Sincerely Ben Spencer
