The Portfolio Report has an 'As of' date setting.

For other reports / graphs, there's an 'All dates' setting. The 'All dates' setting is set to start at the end of 1969.

Many thanks for your suggestions.

I do use the 'As of' for date net worth / snapshot type of report, but I'm thinking more of Net Worth type charts, which I often use as the basis for displaying ongoing values of shares etc. over a time period.

The key thing I wanted 'Fixed date' to 'Today' for was to easily access a graph of a portfolio's value. It was started in October 2016. My data set in Moneydance goes back to the early 1990s and when I select 'All Dates' for the graph, even though the portfolio starts in 2016 the graph starts on 14 January 1990 so shows a long flat zero value line for almost all the graph with the relevant data squashed to the extreme right of the graph.

I get round it by selecting the correct start date then memorising the report with an end date a few months in the future, which I then set further in the future as that date approaches. It seems a bit clunky but I can't see any alternative.

Thanks,
