I just downloaded the transactions and Moneydance says I have $82.20 less than my bank says. I have one pending transaction for $13.22, not $82.20.
Right from the start I have to deal with this crap?
Make a dummy transaction to balance it? Thats the recommendation from the knowledge forum?

    Hello,

It sounds like you're setting up your accounts for the first time? If so, you likely need to enter in an Initial Balance for your accounts by going to Account -> Edit Account from the menu bar. Typically banks don't send your full account history in their downloads, so you will need to enter in the value of your account previous to the first transaction that you have in the program. You can also enter in a calculated value if that field (or pretty much any field in Moneydance) if that's helpful. For example, if you know your balance should be $500, and it currently says it's $100, you can enter in 500-100 and the program will calculate the correct value. This should be a one-time process, part of the initial setup of your accounts.
