I would like to know if there is any new release in 2020 or later, after 2019.3 (1880)? and when is the expectation for the new release?

is it possible to sync with another cloud services like google drive or MS one drive?

thank you.

    Hello,

2019.3 is currently the most up to date release. You can also find the beta version (2019.4) at http://infinitekind.com/preview if you're interested.

Unfortunately, I'm unable to speculate on future release dates for new versions.

You can sync between desktop systems using the Shared Folder option when setting up syncing (https://infinitekind.tenderapp.com/kb/syncing-and-sharing-data/sync...). However, if you want to sync your data between desktop systems and mobile devices, you will need to use one of the Dropbox options.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance,

    Thank you Ethan.

In the shared folder, can I sync it with MS OneDrive? Because I want to sync it with 2 computers in different locations.

And if I purchase version 2019.3, how many upgrade will I get later?

    Thank you

    Hi Amjad,

We would recommend downloading the latest free preview version.

Moneydance 2020 (1913) is now available to download from this page

For a full list of improvements in the preview version, please refer to this page.

When you purchase Moneydance, it’s a one-off payment and not a subscription or a recurring fee.

After purchasing, you'll be sent a license key via email. This key will be valid with all builds of the current release, and also the next major version. (Eg.: 2020 and 2021)

We never force upgrades or ‘sunset’ older versions of the program, so you can continue to use the same version for as long as you wish.
That being said, if you did decide to upgrade in the future, you’d be entitled to a 50% discount.

Finally, please find the steps for syncing with another computer below:

You should ensure you're running the same version and build of Moneydance on any computers you want to sync with.

To check which version you're using, open Moneydance and select Help --> About Moneydance (or Moneydance --> About Moneydance on a Mac) where the version and build number will be displayed.

Launch Moneydance to access the file you'd like to share. Choose File --> Syncing. In this window you should pick a sync method.

If you have the Dropbox client installed on your computer (in the default location) you'll see the 'Dropbox Folder' sync method.

If you choose the 'Dropbox Connection' sync method, you'll be prompted to visit the Dropbox site and retrieve an authorization code that you can enter into Moneydance.
If you want to use a shared folder service other than Dropbox, choose the 'Shared Folder' sync method and navigate to the shared folder you prefer to use.

You should also create and enter a syncing encryption password if you haven't already.

On the other computer, open Moneydance and choose File --> New (or 'Create a new account set' from the Welcome window). Select 'Open Synced File'. Choose the same sync method as the original computer and authorize if required. Select your data file, and enter the sync encryption password to match the original computer.

The steps to sync with another computer are also outlined in this article from the Knowledge Base.

By following these steps, each computer will have it's own copy of your data file, and also backup files. Any changes are shared with the other computer using the sync files within the shared folder you picked. If you enter a test transaction on either computer, you'll see it appear on the other after a few moments.

I hope this information is helpful. Please let me know if you have further questions or need any assistance.

    Hi Maddy,

I would like to tag on to this conversation with another question.

I am an existing software license holder. If I install the new 2020 preview version, will that require me to upgrade my license right away, or will it allow me to wait to upgrade until the official 2020 version is released?

    Thanks!

I currently use version 2019.1 and when investment prices stopped loading for all users I had to figure out how to use the hleofxquotes plug in so I could continue to use MoneyDance. This has been working fine. If i upgrade to 2020 will it all blow up again? Will I need to re-load hleofxquotes? What will happen to price loading if i upgrade?

    Hi Jeff

The successor to hleofxquotes is Quote Loader.

If I were you, I would try Quote Loader build 3025, it works fine with both Moneydance 2019 and 2020
