Is it possible/safe to install MoneydancePreviewBeta on same machine as a production Moneydance 2019.3?

MacBook Pro running Mojave.

    Hello,

    On a Mac, you can do this by renaming the stable version of the program in your Applications folder (maybe adding 2019.3 to the end of the program name). You can then install the beta version. It should appear in your Applications folder simply called Moneydance again, which I would recommend you also rename in a similar way so you don't get those versions confused.

    While there are no changes so large between the versions that you wouldn't be able to open the same data file, I would strongly recommend that you regularly make backups of your data file, if you are testing the preview version with your actual financial data. There are always risks to testing any beta software.
