Why is moneydance not updating price on Berkshire Hathaway B? It has not updated since Sept 3

Hi Bill,
We are sorry to hear about the problem you have encountered.
Please can you confirm which extensions you are using to update your investment accounts?
In order to update security prices, you can use the Quotes and Exchange Rates or the Quote Loader extensions.
From within Moneydance you can choose Extensions --> Manage Extensions->Quotes and Exchange Rates
FT HD is good for funds only, it does not have share prices. FT has share prices, but no history.
Alpha Vantage has prices but within the limits of what markets it supports and its free download limit of 25 stocks per day.

Alternatively, you can try the third party extension called "Quote Loader".

The system provides quotes from many stock exchanges, US, Canada, UK, Europe and Australia to name but a few. The process of obtaining quotes from the selected source is fast and error free.

I'm having the same issue. I've been getting quotes for Berkshire Hathaway B using symbol BRKB and FT as the source. Worked fine until late last week.
I've tried changing the source and played with the symbol (tried BRK-B and BRK.B since you see those used as well in the financial systems) and all return an error.
I have also tried using Quotes and Exchange Rates and that returns a non-sensical ~$183 price (actual is a little over $500).

Hi
Using Quote Loader using the source FT ensure the Ticker is BRK B
Note the blank space between the K and B
Also set the Exch Mod to New York Consolidated. For FT this give the full ticker, including exchange as BRK B:NYQ
As an alternative use the source Yahoo or Yahoo HD. These require the Ticker BRK-B and do not require a Exch Mod.

If this is not the stock you are looking for please post the last price you have and its date.

Derek, thanks. BRK B using FT and NYCON worked for me. I could not get BRK-B to work using Yahoo. But I use FT for everything else so good.

BRK-B NYSE and Yahoo HD works for me in quote loader
