UPDATING SECURITY PRICES

HOW DO I UPDATE SECURITY PRICES. I TRIED (tools, security) doesn't take it?

   Also if you wish to update manually, you can download the security price entry extesnion. This extension will list all your securities in one table and allow you to edit the current price from that table.

   I have a follow-up question. I just set up two new investment accounts and have set up the securities for each. Once Moneydance downloads the updated prices for each security, will my investment account registers be updated with the increases/decreases automatically? If not, what is the best way to go about doing that?

   Yes all instances of the ticker symbol will be updated.

    Hi Tom:

    I’m not seeing the updates in my account registers. I see them on my Summary page, but the registers still only show the initial Buy transactions at the price the funds were at on that day. I see no subsequent transactions or price updates within the registers; only on the Summary page. I’m using Moneydance for Mac, version 2015.7 (1358).

    The registers just show the transactions. Go to portfolio view and see if the prices have updated. You can click on a security from the portfolio view to go to the securities detail page for that security.
