investment acct wrong categories
After importing from Quicken.
When downloading from broker MD assigns the wrong categories to downloaded transactions.
Why?
Is there an easy way to clear or assign proper category?
Can this be fixed so that it does not happen again?

Hi JL,
As for the 'Why', per your screenshot, it looks as though you may have 'Confirmed' the 'MiscInc' txn with the 'Auto & Transport' category, thus Moneydance assigned it to the next txn as well.
As for the 'Fix', you can set a 'Default Category' for the account by viewing the account in question, then from the Moneydance menu bar, going to Account > Edit Account.
In the resulting form you can set the 'Default Category' for the account.
Repeat as needed for other accounts.
For Investment type accounts, depending on the account, I set the 'Default Category' to either:
Investment Income: Dividends
Investment Income: Traditional IRA: Dividends
Investment Income: Roth IRA: Dividends
