Hi there, I would also like to know how to do this! Looking forward to receiving some more info on how we can best use Moneydance to track stocks and shares ISAs / mutual funds.

    Thanks in advance,

    James

Moneydance makes use of the Quotes and Exchange Rates extension to download the prices and rates automatically (Menu Item: Extensions --> Manage Extensions to install)

This extension uses Yahoo Finance and/or Google Finance to obtain prices, hence what prices are available is determined entirely by what prices these sites capture, this is completely outside of Moneydance's control.

If these sites do not have the price(s) you need it is possible to manually enter them on say a weekly or monthly basis and I would suggest you use Security Price Entry extension for this.

    Hi dwg

the point is that the Yahoo UK finance site does provide prices for these funds but they do not have the 2 or 3 character ticker that a listed equity might have they only have the longer ISIN ids as noted above but I don't seem to be able to get MD to pull the prices in for these. I appreciate that manual pricing can be added but that is a very significant work load for something which should be possible to automate.
I have tried various settings but nothing seems to work
