Hi,
I recently purchased some bitcoin and ether, and would like to track its value in USD.
I set it up like a stock investment, but the value of the bitcoins doesn't change as stocks
do when the prices are updated. How can I have the value of cryptocurrencies in USD
be updated when I open MoneyDance?

Thank You

Moneydance makes use of the Quotes and Exchange Rates extension to download the prices and rates automatically (Menu Item: Extensions --> Manage Extensions to install)

This extension uses Yahoo Finance and/or Google Finance to obtain rates, hence what rates are available is determined entirely by what rates these sites capture, this is completely outside of Moneydance's control.

If these sites do not have an exchange rate for for what you want it is possible to manually enter them on say a weekly or monthly basis and I would suggest you use the Security Price Entry extension for this.

BTCUSD=X as a security ticker works for me with Historical = Google and Current = Yahoo (US) in the price updater extension
