If there are two investment accounts, e.g one for me and one for my wife and we both own the same share, do I have to add that share to each account under the "add security" in the actions drop down?
thanks

    Hi melville Few,

Assuming that you've already created the security then yes, 'Add' the security to your wife's account, but do not create a second instance of the same security.

    Click the 'Add Security' button.
In the resulting form, you can select the existing security from the 'Security' drop-down list.
Fill in any particulars that you wish.
Select the desired 'Cost Basis' method.
    Click OK

You'll then be able to enter transactions for the security in question in the register.
