Currency/Security History for EURO Account

I have a couple of accounts which are in a foreign currency (EURO), both the account as well the securities in it!
I have had trouble for some time when entering historical prices in the currency detail section. Entering a 'New' price takes the current price and adds it to a new line with the current date. When you then change the date , the price changes (calculated to the exchange rate??). This problem at least I am aware of and I can correct it. Although sometimes it takes several attempts!? At some point even deleted historic prices (that seem to have come from nowhere), did show up again afterwards!?!? Even after closing/opening Moneydance.

The bigger problem now is: when I finally managed to have the price history correct, the report still shows a different price, which I cannot find anywhere.

I hope this sounds familiar to someone and there is a fix!
Thank you so much!!

I have an additional (maybe somewhat clarifying) question to the above discrepancy:
The price history (attachment: History) has 4 entries. Where do all the entries in the historical price graphic come from (attachment: Graph)!?
