Security Current Price

I have a few mutual funds that do not have ticker symbols and would like to have the current price set to be the price of the last transaction. When I manually enter a transaction the current price on the security does not change/update to the last transaction. I've tried using the history button and import from transaction but the current price is not updated. Is there a check box or something I'm missing to get the current price of a security to update automatically to the value of the last transaction? Updating the current price of all the securities after every transactions is very time consuming.

    Hi Art,

Take a look at the 'Security Price Entry' extension and see if it helps.

Here is a link to the original developer's web site which gives some details on how to use it.

Thanks for the response and I've seen that extension but really doesn't solve the issue at hand. I'm already having to manually enter in the transaction which is at the 'current' price so why would I have to manually update yet another field, why wouldn't MD update the current price, or at least give you the option to use the last transaction price as the current price for securities without symbols, it is the most recent known current price. I shouldn't have to do this twice when the values are already known by MD.

I apologize for the late response. This thread was mis-qued.

If you are using MD 2017, please update to the latest build (1612) from here:

There was an bug that was fixed relating to the curretn price not updating correctly.

If you are not using MD 2017 please let me know which version you are using.
