How handle broker & Yahoo tickers when they are different?

Hi,

I'm considering purchasing Moneydance and transferring over my See Finance data. So far I'm excited about what I see in Moneydance; especially, the developers kit.

I'm working on resolving problems with importing the QIF file exported from SEE Finance.

But I have a question about preferred stock tickers that are slightly different between my broker and Yahoo.

In See Finance I can resolve broker and Yahoo ticker differences. For example, for the Discover Finance Preferred Shares B my broker has the ticker "DFS PRB" but Yahoo has "DFS-PB". How can I specify my broker to down transactions for "DFS PRB" and specify Yahoo to download the stock price for "DFS-PB"?

Thank you,
Don Leckie

If the security is downloading fine from your broke all you should need to do is to put in he proper ticker symbol. MD should remember the security ID number for the next download.

Go to the security detail window, click history, click the edit button. Now put in the correct ticker symbol in edit security window.

I have attached a screen shot to illustrate what you are looking for.
