Re-downloading investment transactions
I recently imported my accounts over from Quicken. I've setup one investing account to sync. The first download included a number of transactions that had already been entered and there isn't the option to merge, so I deleted the downloaded transactions that were duplicates. When I went back to download again, the transactions that I had deleted were downloaded again. How can I keep them from re-downloading without starting over from scratch?

Hi Greg,
The imported data from Quicken was likely in the form of a QIF file.
The imported data from your financial institution is likely in the form of an OFX file.
OFX files have a unique identifier for each txn that Moneydance utilizes to help eliminate duplicate txns from re-importing.
QIF files do not.
I think that your best option will be to re-import your data from your financial institution but instead of deleting the imported data, delete the existing data. Doing so should retain the unique identifiers so that these txns do not duplicate going forward.

I kind of figured that was what I would have to do... part of me hoped that there was some 'merge' option similar to how there is with the banking / credit card transactions.
Thanks, Greg
