I assume by two accounts you mean two data sets that you switch between by using the Open command in Moneydance. Each data set can include any number of Bank, Credit card and other types of accounts within the data set.

Preferences relate to an individual user. Hence any data set(s) that a user has will be backed up to the location specified in preferences, there is no ability to specify a backup location for an individual data set within Moneydance.

You can achieve what you require by running Moneydance within a script, you could within the script move the backups to the location you want or you could, again within the script, complete your own backup to the location required perhaps by using the command line interface that your favourite archive program has.

    Hi Richard,

Just to add to forum member dwg's post...

Moneydance menu bar > File > Export Backup is another option.
