Hi I am new to Moneydance 2017. I have used older versions for years but cannot manage to enter the number of shares purchased in a new transaction in the register view. I have completed the boxes to the left but cannot acces the number of shares box. What am I doing dim?

    Hi,

If you already have the security added to the investment in the securities detail page you just need to create a buy transaction in the transaction register for this investment account.

Click on the investment account in on the home page.

Click on the middle "Register" button to bring up the transaction register for this account.

    Click "New Transaction"

Set the Action on the transaction to "Buy"

Select the security you are buying.

Enter the number of shares in the box that says "Shares"
